Another Record-breaking Month for Australia!
The boom in rooftop solar installations in Australia continues, with a new monthly record-breaking rate of 158MW recorded in October which was 15% above the previous record set in August, according to the latest data from industry statistician SunWiz.
Sunwiz Director Warwick Johnston said, “It was a record month, a massive surge across the board”.
Queensland led the surge in October, posting a record monthly install of 2.27MW.
It easily beat the next best NSW as the hottest market in the country (1.75MW). Victoria also recorded a record monthly installation rate of 1.46MW in October, while W.A also posted a figure of 1.01GW, although it still trailed South Australia with .9GW.
Australia so far in 2018 has installed 7.74MW of rooftop solar, or more than 1.97 million homes and small businesses.
Experts noticed that more households and more businesses look to reduce the expense of grid power, and as more get ready for battery storage.
